After two months in the business, we have a lot of exciting news to share! We are managing $6 million! We are growing! We are advertising! We raised our client account minimum to $250,000! Daniel was chosen to be a referral partner with a nonprofit serving veterans. Daniel helped sponsor a bowling tournament for good friends and individuals with special needs.
If you drive northbound on Orange Ave from downtown Roanoke towards Bonsack, you will see our digital billboard which rotates every 6 seconds. Daniel has signed a contract with Lamar advertising to display this billboard from August 1-October 31.
After only two months in business, Upward Financial Planning is managing just over $6 million in assets under management and serving 20 household clients. Daniel remains committed to only taking 75 household clients. In light of this, he has raised the account minimum size from zero to $250,000. If you have less than that invested already, then don’t worry, you are already grandfathered in, and Daniel will continue to serve you. You got lucky!
Daniel had the pleasure of being a sponsor for the Katie’s Place Bowl-A-Thon fundraising event. Katie’s Place is a non-profit which provides help to individuals with unique learning disabilities of all ages. It provides opportunities to learn and develop social skills and daily living skills through gardening, cooking, cleaning, caring for chickens, community outings, and so much more! Daniel was thrilled to be able to help this non-profit raise money and to be in attendance and enjoy the bowling with friends!
Daniel was recently contacted by an army veteran who looked up financial advisors in the area and handpicked Upward Financial Planning as the best financial advisor in the area to serve all of his military veteran referrals. This is a nonprofit called helpvet.net https://helpvet.net/ which offers all kinds of assistance to veterans and has an amazing discount program, offering 10-20% discounts for veterans at virtually every retailer in the country. Daniel was hand-selected to be the financial advisor of choice for all veterans who utilize this program in the Roanoke, Blacksburg, Lynchburg, Lexington, and Charlottesville areas. At Upward Financial Planning, we already serve military veteran clients and we are looking forward to serving more of these wonderful people who have sacrificed so much for our freedom.
There are a few other very exciting items on the agenda that Daniel is working on right now that we can’t disclose at this time, but be expectant and excited for what is coming!
Thank you for your part in helping UFP succeed and thrive. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out! We remain committed to helping you ELEVATE YOUR FINANCES!
When Daniel is not giving financial advice or managing investments, he enjoys renovating properties, real estate investing, drinking coffee, hanging out with friends, spending weekend trips in his camper van, and exploring the outdoors on a hiking or biking trail in his hometown of Roanoke, VA and beyond.
